Lyme Park Folly

This is a well known and large park in Cheshire (UK) there were a few of these buildings built during the Victorian period in country estates by the rich.

Photo: I love this Polaroid image. It's a cold and clear winter's afternoon. These 'little castles' or towers are all across England. Really they are just huge garden features built as quirky fun additions to a country estate. The word 'folly' is very apt for them as many of them had no use and were simply added for decorative feature only. Hope you like it as much as I do, Not bad for an old Polaroid camera.
