La Habana Part II
A few more photos from our summer trip to Cuba. Havana is a fascinating city and one which I feel deserved much more attention than the two days we gave it - even with my early starts to try to beat the heat.
The architecture is stunning, with fascinating colonial buildings seeming to have a life of their own - world-weary and crumbling they may be, but still homes and businesses.
Granizado Carts, near China Town. These carts provide a popular refreshment service throughout Havana, with crushed ice and syrup.
La Casa Del Sandwich - there are food and drink sellers of all types around the city. The reflection of the Capitolo caught my eye on the way back to the hotel after my morning stroll.
Seaward - the view from the Malécon
The Malécon - apparently this comes alive with locals at evenings and weekends. Being British tourists we chose to walk it in full sun.
Cine Payret and the Capitolo.
